THE CHALLENGE
The parking wasn't broken. Drivers were getting in, parking, paying, and leaving. But the system running it had aged to the point where it was creating more work than it was saving.
Both sites ran on the same outdated, end-of-life PARCS — a single system managing the garage and surface lot together. The hardware malfunctioned regularly, required constant repairs and maintenance, and when parts were needed, the wait times were extensive. Keeping the system running had become a job in itself.
On the access side, monthly tenants were managed through an RFID card system that required constant administration: issuing new cards, replacing lost ones, and tracking who had active access. Every change was a manual task.
Transient visitors had limited payment options. The team knew they needed something more modern — a platform that would reduce the operational overhead, give monthly tenants a frictionless way in, and offer visitors more flexibility when paying.

THE SOLUTION
In April 2026, Inugo deployed a complete LPR-based system across both sites.
Access Hubs were integrated directly into the existing barriers, and the old kiosks replaced with ET1s — keeping the installation efficient and minimising downtime for the operation.
Scan-to-pay signs are positioned throughout both lots, letting visitors pay on their phone at any point during their visit. For anyone who didn't scan to pay, two Inugo ET1 pay-on-exit kiosks — one in each lot — give transient visitors a fast, straightforward way to pay when they leave. Two intercoms provide support access when needed.
The ET1 was a direct answer to the maintenance burden of the old system. A single-wire PoE+ setup keeps the install simple and on-site complexity low. Once live, updates and reconfigurations are pushed remotely — no contractor bookings, no call-outs.

Everything feeds into the Inugo Management Console — a single dashboard where Douglas Parking can see across both sites in real time. Revenue, gate activity, transient parking, and LPR access are all logged in one place. If something happens at either lot, the team can see it, act on it, and pull the history.
Transient rates are configured directly in the Management Console — daily and hourly pricing set by the operator, applied consistently across both sites.
Monthly groups are managed from the same platform: tenants are added by licence plate, assigned to a group, and given a monthly rate. Their plate is their pass — they drive in, the camera reads it, and the gate opens. No cards to issue, no replacements to arrange, no ongoing admin.
When a plate arrives at the barrier, the system checks group membership and opens the gate automatically. Adding a new tenant, adjusting a rate, or removing access takes minutes — no third-party involvement, no waiting.
Since the upgrade, managing both sites has become simpler and more efficient for our team, while tenants are enjoying a smoother parking experience." — Douglas Parking
Both lots now operate on a modern, connected platform. Monthly tenants move through without friction — no cards, no fobs, just their licence plate. Transient visitors park, go about their day, and pay on the way out at the kiosk or on their phone.
For the Douglas Parking team, the change is most visible in what they no longer have to do manually. Monthly access management is automated. Activity across both sites is visible in real time. The team has more time and clearer sight of what's happening across the operation every day.
